East Kessler Park is a unique neighborhood of homes that is one of the nearest single family home neighborhoods to downtown Dallas, Texas.  The neighborhood received a new neighbor in 1927.  That new neighbor is Methodist Hospital, now a 500 bed acute care hospital that is just one of the neighbors.  East Kessler Park is one of the few upscale single family neighborhoods in the country that includes an eleven story hospital as "one of the neighbors."  East Kessler Park is unique for its various home styles that range from early 20th Century creative to mid century modern to "that's a house?"  The strength of the neighborhood is the people.  The neighborhood attracts persons and families from many backgrounds.  Many in East Kessler Park, while living near downtown, a major employment center actually run their businesses from their homes.  Ages range from those who ride in a three wheel buggy being pushed by a jogging mother to about 100 or so.
